Latchet turnshoes, side laced
These latchet shoes are suitable for ladies and genteel gentlemen. They are hand-made following archaeological finds from Schleswig and Constance, Germany and are suitable for authentic representation of periods from 1100 to 1500 AD.
A turnshoe was a type of footwear made of leather that was used during the Middle Ages. It was so named because it was put together inside-out and then was turned right side out once finished.

- the upper leather is 1.8 mm thick, made with non-chemical-based tanning methods
- 4 mm thick leather sole, also with vegetable tanning
- hand-made in the authentic turn-sewn method

These shoes' durability is not comparable to modern footwear. They are sensitive to asphalt and gravel. We recommend your additionally wear pattens.
