Early medieval Slavic helmet

Replica of a Slavic nasal helmet of the 8th Century.
This kind of helmet was very popular not only with the Slavic tribes but also with the Rus, the Varangian and the Khazars.The helmet is made of 2 mm thick overlapping sheet plates and riveted.This is a very robust construction.The helmet is fully battle-ready.In early medieval horsehair has been attached to the helmet peak.That´s why the hood has a hole.Five loops are attached to the lower helmet edges to fix a mail shirt.

A high-class and adjustable leather liner with chin straps is included.
